Understanding photo resolution is one of those skills that seems simple until you actually need it — then the questions multiply fast. Whether you're preparing images for print, uploading to a website, or just trying to figure out why a photo looks blurry when enlarged, knowing how to check resolution is genuinely useful.
What Photo Resolution Actually Means
Resolution describes how much detail an image contains. It's typically expressed in two ways:
